Mr. Jamal Yanaki is the President, C.E.O. and founder of ActivaDerm. He has over twenty-seven years of medical-device experience in product development, manufacturing, sales, and marketing in the health care industry. Mr. Yanaki was a major contributor to the development of the ActionPatch®, a self-integrated Iontophoresis system, which was licensed to EMPI Inc. Mr. Yanaki was the President and CEO of ActivaTek Inc., which was sold in March of 2014 to North Coast Medical Inc . He was also the V.P. and General Manager of the commercial business for Iomed, Inc. Mr. Yanaki has held senior positions with medical and cosmetic-device companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Coherent Laser Inc. and Bacterin International, Inc. Mr. Yanaki’s latest creation is the dĒp Patches and ActivaPatch® Iontophoretic delivery electrode, which incorporates his general knowledge, education and experience in the drug delivery design and development field. He has several patents and publications in various industry journals. Mr. Yanaki received his Executive M.B.A. from the University of Utah, a M.S degree in Chemical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, and a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Loyola University of Chicago.
Mr. Tim Lucas is the Executive Vice President of Marketing & Business Development and co-founder of ActivaDerm and ActivaTek Inc. He has a proven record of success; for over twenty-five years, he has worked in sales, sales management, business development and customer-relationship management in start-up, turnaround and established medical device, drug delivery environments. Mr. Lucas held senior positions in sales marketing and business development in companies such as Bacterin International, Inc., Iomed, Inc., Medtronic, Inc., and Sepro Healthcare, Inc. Mr. Lucas received his marketing degree from York College of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Ralph Koschinsky is the VP of Operations and co-founder. He has served as Director of Engineering and Quality for ActivaTek Inc., in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has over twenty-nine years of medical device experience in product and process development, equipment and automation design, and manufacturing. He has held an Engineering Manager position for Iomed, Inc., in which he managed production engineering, machine shop and facilities, and product development. He has also held senior engineering positions for Med-West Inc. and Becton Dickinson Inc. He has been involved in several patents. Prior to this he worked for National Semiconductor as an Electro-Mechanical Technician. He has also served in the Army National Guard and the Army Reserves.
